Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess current cath lab experience and the ability to effectively collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Suites: 5
• Average Cases per Day: Varies from 10 to 22 total cases

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 10 hours per day
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Days: Day shifts with every other weekend required
• First to float among staff as needed

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for:

• Assisting in various cardiac procedures, including monitoring hemodynamics.
• Working alongside a team of professionals, including RNs who handle conscious sedation.
• Participating in the rotation for inpatient and emergent cases as needed.
• Handling a variety of interventions including cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, electrophysiology, and neuro interventions.
• Managing airway, sedation, and cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors.
• Assisting with balloon pumps when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current cath lab experience.
• Certifications Required: ARRT, BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy.
• Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation practices.
• Ability to manage and execute procedural processes effectively.

Additional Information

Weekend call requirements include rotation from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs.
