MRI Technologist

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our inpatient team. The role involves performing MRI scans, specifically cardiac cases, in a hospital setting with a focus on patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI examinations using Siemens 1.5 and 3T equipment.
• Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a safe environment during imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient imaging and monitor progress.
• Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and reporting of MRI results.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing MRI procedures.

Schedule Details:

• Orientation is required and will be billable; hours will be communicated prior to the start date.
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, with variable days of the week including weekends.
• May be scheduled to work weekends, possibly up to every weekend.
• Holidays may be required as needed; the facility is closed on major holidays.
• Floating between inpatient and outpatient areas may occur as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an inpatient setting.
• Demonstrated experience with Siemens 1.5T and 3T MRI equipment.
• Experience with cardiac MRI cases is essential.
• Travel experience preferred.
• ARRT MRI certification or AMRIT certification is required, along with BLS certification.
• 5+ years of experience is preferred.

Additional Information:

• Housing is provided for one occupant; pet units are not available.
• Requests for time off (RTO) up to 14 days may be submitted, with a maximum of 4 weekend shifts included.
• All RTO requests must be made at the time of application.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from Fairbanks, AK.
• Weekly payroll is available.
