MRI Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing routine MRI and MRA exams, including body imaging, musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging, and neuro imaging, with a focus on exceptional patient care.

Unit Information

• Type of Unit: Radiology – MRI (Outpatient)
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient every 45 minutes
• Unit Staff: 1 clerical staff, 1 MRI technologist
• Equipment: Signa Explorer 1.5T
• Documentation Systems: Meditech, GE PACS, Intelerad

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MRI and MRA examinations.
• Conduct body, musculoskeletal, and neuro imaging procedures.
• Administer contrast injections as necessary.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Document and manage patient information using the established electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years in MRI.
• Required Skills: Expertise in routine MRI and MRA, body imaging, MSK imaging, and neuro imaging.
• Certifications: ARRT MRI, CPR.
• IV Training: Required.

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Grey scrubs.
• Patient Experience: Managed by Press Ganey surveys.
• Procedures Performed: Approximately 8 procedures daily.
