MRI Technologist

Contract Details

This is a 13-week contract position for an MRI Technologist with a focus on weekday overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. Candidates should be available to start as soon as possible.

Unit Information

• Location: Main Building, 1st Floor
• Facility Department Number: 73478
• Discipline: MRI
• Shift: 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM, Sunday – Thursday
• Call Requirements: Not required, but willingness to take call is preferred.
• Number of Beds: 209 hospital beds
• Staffing Level: 1-2 day MRI techs and 1 overnight MRI tech
• Type of Staff: Includes 1 MRI tech, 1 X-ray tech, 1 CT tech, and 1 Ultrasound tech during the night shift.
• Type of Equipment: GE Artist 1.5
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Current Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Radiologic Technologists certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multimodality experience in X-ray or CT

Typical Procedures

The unit performs a variety of MRI procedures, including:

• Neuro imaging
• General body imaging
• Musculoskeletal imaging

The required attire includes:

• Scrub Color: Olive top and black bottoms or all black scrubs
