Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. This position involves working in the Interventional Radiology (IR) unit, assisting with a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be part of a dedicated medical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during procedures.
• Document patient information and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record system (EMR).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Number of suites/labs: 2 + CT
• Average cases per day: 12
• Common diagnoses/types of patients: Neuro-Stroke, Body-Angio, Trauma, BX/Abscess

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA), Fluoroscopy, and a valid state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
• Proficient in using Cerner EMR and related imaging equipment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.

Scheduling and Shift Requirements

• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Work Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday.
• Weeknight/Call Requirements: One weekend per month plus one weekday night.
• Call response time: Generally within 30 minutes, with some flexibility.

Dress Code

Hospital-provided scrubs are to be worn during all work shifts.
