Interventional Radiology Technician

Position Overview

The Interventional Radiology Technician will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality patient care in the interventional radiology suite. The technician will work collaboratively with a skilled healthcare team to assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing interventional radiology procedures and support the radiologists in image-guided interventions.
• Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and safety standards are met.
• Monitor patients during procedures, recording vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing education regarding procedures and addressing any concerns.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations to prevent complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and assist in inventory management of supplies.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
• Current certification in CPR and any relevant technical certifications.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and imaging technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with on-call responsibilities as necessary.
