Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Overview

An experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist is needed for a full-time position focusing on neuro procedures. The role involves assisting physicians during complex interventional radiology procedures, including thrombectomies, pulmonary embolisms, uterine fibroid embolizations (UFE), and Y90 treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist with various interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with interventional radiologists and other medical staff.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety.
• Prepare necessary equipment and ensure a sterile environment for procedures.
• Support neuro procedures and respond to emergent situations with efficiency.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for full-time work, with potential shifts being 8 to 10 hours during the day. There are no regular weekend shifts unless called in for on-call duties.

On-Call Requirements

The Interventional Radiology Technologist will be on call for neuro procedures with a required 30-minute call back time and for additional interventional radiology cases with a 45-minute call back time. The typical call schedule involves taking up to 9 call days a month, including one weekend and other varying days.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience.
• Preferred experience in neuro procedures.
• Current Illinois IEMA license.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT certification.

Orientation

Orientation will be conducted on any weekday, with a preference for Mondays. All required credentials must be submitted by Thursday prior to the start date.
