Job Title: Echo Tech

City/State: Janesville, Wisconsin

Shift: 11am-7pm Monday through Friday. On call weekend rotation, every 7 weeks.

Job Description:

Produces two or three dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures for use by Physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart. May be required to work flexible hours. Participates in the on-call roster.

Responsibilities:

Performs echocardiographic examinations and assumes responsibility for the quality of the examination.
Assesses, prepares, and performs echocardiographic examinations (M-mode, 2 or 3 dimensional Doppler, transesophageal and stress).
Maintains equipment and area in working condition.
Recognizes arrhythmias and takes appropriate action by notifying physician if necessary.
Documents patient and procedural information in the patient medical record completely.
Educates the patient and family about the procedure and documents the process in the patient record.

Requirements:

Associate Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program.
BLS required.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
