CT Technologist

Job Description

The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissues. These images are crucial for diagnosing various medical conditions. The role also includes performing a variety of imaging procedures, which may encompass general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Requirements

• Evening shift: 5×8 hours
• Must have EPIC experience
• Primary start time: 1330; hours may vary based on departmental needs and staffing. Other potential start times include 11:00 am, 1330, 1430, or 1500.
• Strong multimodality skills required. CT experience is essential, with additional support in X-ray and OR preferred.
• Ideally, candidates should be capable of assisting in all three areas (CT, X-ray, and OR), but candidates proficient in at least two of the modalities will also be considered.

Education and Work Experience

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice: Required
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in certain states, Preferred in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Required if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials
