Job Description:

The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab. The position involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Tasks include scrubbing in for procedures, monitoring hemodynamics, and handling radiation safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform procedures with a team of two techs, one scrubbed and one monitoring hemodynamics.
• Assist the RN in conscious sedation.
• Maintain coordination with the Lead Tech for room assignments.
• Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases; one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.

Requirements:

• ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications required.
• Must have current Cath Lab experience and be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management.
• Familiarity with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors, as well as balloon pumps.
• Experience in a STEMI receiving facility with skills in cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro interventions.
