Unit Information

Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Bradenton, FL

General Information

The Cardiac Cath Lab is equipped with 5 procedure suites and staffed by a dedicated team, including:

• 1 Director
• 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)
• Approximately 4.6 staff Registered Nurses (RNs)
• 5 Technologists

Staffing and Schedule

All staff members work on the day shift, while the night shift consists of an on-call crew for emergent cases. The patient-to-staff ratio is typically 1 patient to 3-4 staff members.

Equipment Used

The department utilizes advanced technology, including:

• Shockwave
• Laser
• CSI
• Penumbra
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• Impella
• Rotoblator

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are managed through MacLab and Meditech systems.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience in Cardiac Catheterization, CRM, and Peripheral Vascular procedures

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) and Ablation (ABL)

Typical Procedures Performed

The Cath Lab handles a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including:

• Diagnostic and Interventional Catheterizations
• Peripheral Vascular Procedures
• Pacemaker and ICD placements
• Watchman Procedures
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Electrophysiology and Ablation Procedures

Additional Information

Travelers will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent staff members. The team is committed to a collaborative environment and utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to enhance patient outcomes.
