Cardiac Cath/EP Technologist

Job Description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The position requires one to two weeknight on-call shifts and coverage every fourth weekend.

Responsibilities

• Verify the integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies.
• Prepare patients and equipment, ensuring the use of sterile techniques during procedures.
• After procedures, prepare equipment and supplies for sterilization.
• Monitor and record all procedural data while maintaining event logs.
• Provide comfort and familiarize patients with necessary equipment and supplies prior to the procedure.
• Apply necessary monitors and prepare access sites with sterile drapes.
• Adhere to sterile and aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections.
• Advocate for radiation safety for all staff and patients, wearing a personal radiation dosimeter and taking necessary precautions to minimize exposure.
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, evaluating reports to ensure values remain within safety limits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program (education verification required).
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
• Registered Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Shift Information

Typically scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. On-call coverage is required on weeknights and every fourth weekend.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required.

Experience

Minimum of less than 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
