Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is essential for performing catheter-based procedures and assisting in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, with potential for nights and weekends
• Call Requirements: Approximately 10-12 nights of call, including one weekend per month
• Location: Ocala, FL

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist in catheterization procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Conduct equipment checks and ensure all necessary supplies are available.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, providing support and reassurance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab, or in a similar role within a healthcare environment.
• Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Radiologic Technologist with cath lab interventional experience (RT-R).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
