Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. This position is scheduled in accordance with facility policy and includes working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a relevant setting.

General Information

• Number of Beds: 370
• Type of Equipment: GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, Penumbra
• Documentation System: MacLab/Meditech
• Shift Details: 4-10 hour shifts per week
• On-Call Schedule: Approximately 15-18 days per month
• Weekends: Rotating

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for the following:

• Scrubbing for LHC (Left Heart Cath), RHC (Right Heart Cath), PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction), and peripheral procedures.
• Monitoring patients during procedures.
• Supporting team efforts in the prep/recovery area as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in a Cath Lab or similar environment.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Advanced skills in monitoring and scrubbing for various procedures.
• Certification as RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) or RT(R) (Radiologic Technologist) is required.

Dress Code

Required uniform includes ceil blue scrubs, which will be provided.

Additional Information

Our unit features newer procedure rooms and equipment. The team consists of 5-10 physicians and a dedicated charge nurse to ensure efficient workflow throughout the day.
