Cardiovascular Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic team in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various cardiac procedures and providing support to the medical staff within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Shift: 4x10s, 7 AM – 5 PM
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call Requirement: Approximately 3 days per month
• Call Shift: 4-5 times per month with 1 weekend per month

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and conducting various cardiac procedures within the Cath Lab.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide high-quality care.
• Maintain and operate relevant medical equipment, ensuring all tools are operational and effective.
• Adhere to protocols and best practices to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic).

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI
• Familiarity with relevant equipment and procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.

Work Environment

The candidate will be working in a 719-bed Level I Trauma facility, handling 40-50 cases per day, with diverse procedural exposure including catheterizations and occasional electrophysiology cases.
