Cath Lab Tech

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating within the cardiac catheterization lab and will perform a range of procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Suites/Labs: 2 beds
• Average Cases Per Day: 8 cases

Shift Information

This position requires a shift pattern of Monday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts from 0700 to 1700. Participation in the call rotation is required, with an average of 12 days per month, including at least one weekend. The call response time is 30 minutes.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub for cardiac and peripheral cases, including PCI and STEMI procedures.
• Assist the medical team in performing all cardiac invasive procedures, excluding structural heart cases.
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards in the Cath Lab environment.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (Cerner).

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab environment is required.
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Verification
• Must possess scrub experience for PCI and STEMI procedures.

Work Environment

• Support Staff: Charge nurse and other Cath Lab/IR Technologists available.
• Additional Teams: IV Team and Pharmacy available 24/7.
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation provided based on skill level (1 or 2 shifts).

Additional Information

Hospital-provided scrubs will be supplied. The candidate must be able to perform scrub duties effectively and must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with this organization in the past year.
