Job Overview

Join our team as a Cath Lab Tech in a dynamic cardiac cath lab environment, where you will play a critical role in performing various interventional procedures and assisting with patient care.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Beds: 3 main beds, plus 1 EP and 1 Hybrid bed
• Common Case Volume: 10-25 cases per day

Responsibilities

• Perform the role of a scrub tech, assisting physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically Cerner and Xper, for patient record-keeping.
• Provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with circulating nurses and other medical staff.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting is required.
• Certifications: Must hold ARRT and BLS certifications. State licensure is required (AZ MRTBE CRT).
• Level I Trauma Experience: Required for this position.

Schedule and Orientation

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 8-12 call days per month
• Holidays: Participation in a holiday schedule is expected.
• Orientation: 2 days of unit-specific orientation will be provided.

• Scrub Colors: Provided
• Equipment: Experience with Phillips and Siemens equipment is beneficial.
• Response Time: 30-minute response time for call requirements.
• Support Services: Radiology and pharmacy services available 24/7.
• Patient Populations: Diverse cases including interventional cardiology, EP lab, mitral clip, TAVR, IABP, and Emtala placements.
