Job Description:

The role involves working in an outpatient clinic requiring recent oncology experience. The candidate must have at least 1.5 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in oncology.

Responsibilities:

Work with patients 18+ in medical oncology, chemotherapy infusion, hematology, and BMT (pre- and post-transplant)
See approximately 15-25 patients per day with clinical assistant support
Room patients, take vital signs, perform review of systems, medication reconciliation, and weigh patients
Obtain orders and process patients for infusions; communicate if cleared
Perform chart checks, set up for procedures, and review referrals
Work routinely with different physicians within Medical Oncology and possibly with other physicians outside of Medical Oncology

Requirements:

LPN certification with BLS
Completion of an approved nursing education program
Proficiency with EPIC Ambulatory
Clinic experience, including first assist, chaperoning, and rooming patients
Able to work with department leadership, charge nurse, team lead, lab on site, chemo nurses, and physician team
Experience with charting system (Epic Ambulatory)
