Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

An experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a background in Long Term Care (LTC) is needed for a 13-week assignment. The role involves various responsibilities essential for patient care in an LTC setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments
• Performing treatments and medication administration
• Notifying Medical Doctor (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) of pertinent information
• Admitting and discharging patients
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Caring for gastrostomy tubes
• Managing urinary catheters
• Administering nebulized treatments
• Caring for wound vacs
• Providing CPAP care
• Completing other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Long Term Care setting
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Shift Information

Variable shifts will be determined based on patient census and facility needs.

Holiday Coverage

Availability for holiday coverage is required.

Additional Requirements

Proof of flu vaccination or an approved application for medical or religious exception will be required prior to the start date. Flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.
