Job Description:

Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Requires a bachelor’s degree and must be a certified medical technologist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples.
• Follow standardized procedures for sample preparation.
• Analyze test results for accuracy and acceptability.
• Report findings to physicians to aid in diagnosis and monitoring.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience required with at least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Blood bank experience required.
• Preferred experience with Beckman Hematology, ACL Top Coag, BB gel testing, Beckman Chemistry analyzers with the DXA automation.
• Cerner experience preferred.
