Job Description:

Looking for a Cytologist Traveler to work Monday-Friday to read PAPs and non-GYN slides. Molecular testing on PAP vials and grossing included in the position. GENERAL OBJECTIVES: Demonstrates technical skill in all aspects of cytology processing, preparation and staining. Able to screen an average of 40 to 80 slides per day. Assists in specimen collection as requested. Maintains computerized patient records.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Graduate from an ABHES accredited school of cytotechnology or meet CAP qualifications.
• Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP registration) is required.
• Associate degree is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Cytotechnologist.
• Knowledgeable of all aspects of the cytotechnology department.
• Screens average of 60 to 80 slides per day.
• Diagnosis is consistently within one grade of Pathologist or Consultant diagnosis.
