Certified Surgical Technician (CST)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our surgical team. The CST will play a critical role in preparing the operating room and ensuring a sterile environment for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, including the sterile field.
• Set up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and managing surgical equipment during procedures.
• Manage the sterile field and specimens throughout the surgery.
• Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Experience with robotics is required.
• Certification through a CAAHEP-accredited program or equivalent.

Schedule

This position will work four 10-hour shifts, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends. Flexibility for on-call responsibilities is required.
