Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician with capabilities in vein harvesting and a strong background in cardiovascular operating room procedures. The ideal candidate will be competent and independent in vein procurement using the Maquet Hemopro 2 system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vein harvesting procedures independently.
• Assist in various cardiovascular operations, including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR standby, and thoracic robotic-assisted procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure effective management of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Participate in rotating weekends and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proven experience in CVOR settings.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective teamwork and patient interaction.

Work Environment

This position is located in a cardiovascular operating room with a focus on providing exceptional care for patients undergoing heart procedures. The role involves teamwork and problem-solving within a specialized surgical setting.

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear hospital scrubs as part of the dress code.
