Job Description:

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide critical care ventilator management, utilize NIV (CPAP/BIPAP/HHFNC), and manage respiratory diseases in the pediatric population, including medication delivery and respiratory therapeutic interventions. The role involves working within a PICU setting, ECMO program, and caring for cardiac patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform critical care ventilator management and use of NIV strategies.
• Manage respiratory diseases in pediatric patients and deliver medications and therapeutic interventions.
• Participate in ECMO and cardiac programs including delivery of specialized gases like Nitric Oxide and Heliox.
• Float to ER, MedSurg, Oncology, and PICU as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience within the last 5 years.
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, RRT, WA state license (must be in hand or have proof of application 6+ weeks ago).
• Skills in critical care ventilator management and respiratory disease management in children are essential.
• Experience with EMR: EPIC is necessary.
