Shift: Days, 6:30 am-5:00 pm, M-F, 10-hour shifts with rotating weekday off

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

Surgical technologists prepare the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. During surgery, surgical technologists pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment. Surgical technologists simultaneously manage the sterile field and specimens and perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and sterile field.
• Set up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon.
• Manage the sterile field and specimens.
• Perform a count of sponges and supplies.

Requirements:

• CRST preferred
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in surgical tech duties for ortho, general, spine, vascular, urology, and OB
• 2+ years of experience
