Job Description:

The Certified Surgical Tech in the Cardiovascular Operating Room is responsible for supporting surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, and various open vascular procedures. The role requires working independently with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities:

Assist with a variety of cardio and thoracic surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, and thoracic cases.
Provide support to the surgical team as the primary tech or assisting tech during procedures.
Maintain and manage surgical setups and instrumentations.
Participate in the rotation through tech positions.
Respond to on-call duties as needed, including overnight and weekend shifts.

Requirements:

2 years of CVOR experience and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience.
BLS certification and associate degree in a healthcare-related field or CST certification.
Experience in working with EPIC, Omnicell, and Alaris systems.
Capability to float to Main OR as necessary.
