Job Description:

The Cardiovascular Technologist will work in the CVOR, assisting with thoracic and vascular cases as part of cardiovascular surgery. Responsibilities include preparing for open heart cases, as well as other related procedures. The role requires willingness to cross-train into general OR during low CV volumes and to float as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in open heart surgeries including CABG and valve procedures.
• Cross-train into the general OR for ortho or general cases.
• Willingness to float as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours if case volumes are low.
• Participate in on-call duties approximately 3-4 times per week.

Requirements:

• 2 years of CVOR experience and ability to first scrub.
• Certifications required: BLS, CST (via NBSTSA), and ND UAP.
• Willingness to work on holidays and respond to calls within 15 minutes.
• Ability to cross-train into other OR specialties if required.
