Job Description:

The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVOR Tech) will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures focusing on thoracic and vascular cases. The role requires willingness to cross-train and float as needed, and participation in call schedules is mandatory. Provided scrub uniforms are required, with orientation offered to ensure familiarity with department operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with open heart and vascular surgeries such as CABG and valve procedures
• Prepare for surgical procedures and ensure necessary equipment is available
• Cross-train into general OR specialties when required
• Participate in a rotating call schedule, including weeknights and weekends
• Float as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours during low case volumes

Requirements:

• 2 years of CVOR experience, with the ability to first scrub
• Current BLS Certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification
• Possession of a North Dakota UAP
• Willingness to cross-train and cover shifts as a 1:1 sitter
