Biomed Tech II

Job Description

This position is responsible for the installation, repair, calibration, preventative maintenance, electrical safety checks, and performance verification of medical equipment. The role involves conducting both bench and field service on a variety of medical devices at the board/module level, often with assistance or direct supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Biomedical Technician in a medical setting, with hospital experience preferred.
• Manufacturer training or equivalent experience with the following systems:
  • Physiological Monitoring Systems (Philips, GE, Welch Allyn)
  • Anesthesia Systems (GE Avance, Aestiva)
  • Dialysis Systems (Fresenius 2008 Series)
• Ability to conduct First Look troubleshooting on Ultrasound Equipment (Siemens, Philips, Sonosite, Terason).
• AK license required—applicants can apply after an offer and must be licensed prior to starting.
• Current BLS certification required.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position with day shifts (8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday).
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Weekend and holiday availability as needed.
• On-call requirements on a rotational basis.

• A completion bonus incentive will be provided after two years of service.
• This position will involve travel between multiple locations within the region.
