Job Description:

Work as a Physician Assistant in a 16-bed acuity-adaptable Pediatric Cardiac Care Center caring for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients. The role involves managing patients with congenital heart disease, including complex anatomy and physiology, in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

• Primary covering provider role for high-acuity pediatric cardiac patients.
• Care for pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients and high-risk single ventricle physiology.
• Manage arrhythmia, vasopressor support, pacemakers, VA/VV ECMO, and CRRT.
• Occasionally provide care for adult congenital heart disease patients and PICU boarders.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU.
• Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
• Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure and NCCPA certification.
• BLS from AHA.
• PALS from ABA.
