Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Stroke/Neuro nursing, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on telemetry units.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and EKG readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care techniques.
• Participate in unit and hospital initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Float to other units as needed, providing support to various teams.

Schedule

The Registered Nurse will work 12-hour day shifts, with weekend requirements every other weekend and holiday availability as needed. Orientation is scheduled every Monday, and non-billable orientation hours total 16 hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Stroke/Neuro nursing is required.
• Preferably 2+ years of travel nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Passing EKG Test is required on the first day of orientation.
• Candidates must hold a valid nursing license.
• New graduates will not be considered for this position.
