Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in telemetry nursing and demonstrate proficiency in reading cardiac telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips.

Scheduled Details

• Shift: 12-hour Weekend Nights
• Days: Friday to Sunday
• Hours: 1900-0730

Experience Requirements

• Must have an Associate’s degree in nursing
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam prior to submission

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing

License and Certification Requirements

• Current RN license in Kansas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Ability to float to other units based on divisional needs, including acute care and overflow/surge units
• Availability to work every weekend with a set schedule
• Required to work two major holidays, selecting from designated dates

Unit Information

• 36 beds – including rooms and semi-private spaces
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4
• General medical-surgical/telemetry unit

Orientation Details

Orientation will occur on the Monday and Tuesday of the starting week, including:

• KU NEO training
• KU DON training on Wednesday and Thursday
• Virtual EPIC training on Friday

Credentialing Expectations

Credentialing must include completed CBC, DS, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
