Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nursing professional looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

Schedule and Hours

• Start Date: October 4
• Schedule: Every Monday
• Shift: 12 hours, 7 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Floating Requirement: May float to Glenbrook, Skokie, or Highland Park

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
• Maintain a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 within a 29-bed unit.
• Manage common diagnoses including Neurosurgery, Urology, Orthopedic, Surgical overflow, and Telemetry/Medsurg.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Record and monitor patient progress and provide patient education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Possession of a valid RN license in Illinois.
• Current certifications in CPR and ACLS.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is preferred.
• Completion of a passed EKG test with an 80% score or higher is required.
• New graduates will not be considered for this position.

Additional Information

This is a 12-week contract position with non-billable orientation hours totaling 16. Payroll is processed bi-weekly.
