Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population. This role focuses on telemetry monitoring and the management of post-cath patients, including those with pacemaker placements and stroke care.

Typical Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients’ vitals and conditions in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications including amiodarone and Cardizem drips.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in an electronic medical record.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Skills and Experience:

• Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal).
• Knowledge and experience with stroke patients.
• Potential candidates with NIH certifications will be prioritized.

Work Schedule

Shifts will include three weekend shifts within a four-week rotation. Options include Friday and Saturday nights, or Saturday and Sunday days.

This role may require floating to other telemetry departments, medical-surgical units, or progressive care units as needed.
