Registered Nurse – Step Down (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Step Down unit, specializing in progressive care. This position involves providing comprehensive care for patients with various conditions, including but not limited to:

• Sepsis
• Heart Failure
• Hypertensive Emergency
• Respiratory Failure
• COPD
• Chronic Kidney Disease
• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Substance Abuse
• Status Epilepticus
• Encephalopathy

Unit Information

The Step Down unit consists of 6-20 beds, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. There may be opportunities to float to other Intermediate Care Units (IMCU), with units 5J and 12A being the most common.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
