Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role is for a Registered Nurse on the Comprehensive Medical Unit, working primarily in a night shift capacity with occasional floating between various Med-Surg units. The position requires active participation in a team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Shift Information

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the assigned unit.
• Float between various Med-Surg units as necessary, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation.
• Maintain and enhance proficiency in reading telemetry, with competency testing on the first day of employment.
• Utilize Epic EMR efficiently in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of current/recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher classes or one-on-one assistance are not available.

Additional Information

Unless the RN is a returning travel nurse within the past 9 months, the only start date available is November 16th. This role does not require on-call duty.
