• Day Shift: 1 free charge nurse, 9 bedside RNs, 1 patient care technician (PCT)
• Night Shift: 1 free charge nurse, 9 bedside RNs

Patient Ratios: 1:2; 1:1

Equipment Used: Philip monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a PICU setting, exemplifying a dedication to providing high-quality care to critically ill children.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Minimum of 1 year of current PICU RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in post-operative cardiac care
• Proficiency in venous puncture

Clinical Responsibilities

On this unit, you will be involved in:

• Conscious sedations
• Care for patients with respiratory failure (including ETT, HFOV)
• CT placement
• Central line maintenance and care
