Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric CVICU

Days and Nights available: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Job Overview

This role involves delivering professional nursing care in a collaborative environment with the healthcare team, patients, and families to promote health outcomes. The responsibilities include following evidence-based nursing standards and adhering to hospital goals and regulatory standards. The assignment may require floating between various units, including NICU and PICU, across multiple locations in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Float between NICU and PICU as needed for patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric CVICU setting.
• Experience in a hospital with a Level III or IV NICU preferred.
• Previous experience floating between NICU and PICU is required.
• Experience in a children’s hospital is preferred.

Education Requirements

• Two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four-year (BSN) degree in nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing.

Certifications

• Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current NRP certification preferred.

Additional Information

• COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required.
• Flu vaccination is required from October through April, with exemptions subject to approval.
• Holiday coverage may be required.
