Job Description:

The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide patient care and treatment in a step-down and med-surg setting. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and utilizing specialized medical equipment. Strong clinical expertise and flexibility are important for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform trach care, manage chest tubes, and conduct wound dressing changes
• Work collaboratively with a team of RNs, charge nurses, and patient care technicians
• Ensure accurate data collection and documentation using Cerner EMR
• Float between med surg and progressive care units as needed

Requirements:

• 2 years nursing experience
• Experience working with trachs
• ACLS/BLS certifications
