Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our IMCU team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in an Intensive Medical Care Unit.

Unit Information

• Unit: IMCU
• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory issues (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction), CV stepdown, Post-operative care
• Patient Demographics: Adults aged 18 years and older
• Number of Beds: 64 beds, with 15 designated Neuro beds
• Specialty Equipment: Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
• Ventilator Support: Chronic ventilators – unable to wean; Respiratory Therapy will assist

Shift Information

Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Please note that block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Valid nursing licenses with active New York license and all RN licenses
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC

Additional Information

Floating to other units may be required based on patient needs.
