Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role requires strong clinical expertise and the ability to manage patient care effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing: 5 RNs & 2 LNAs, adjusted based on patient volume
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Equipment: GE cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps
• EMR: Expanse

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting with a focus on PCU
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Experience with critical drips
• Active Compact License
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred:

• Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patient care
• Prior experience in a health system environment

Floating Areas

• Med Surg
• ICU (for border patients)
• Emergency Department (for ED holds)

Additional Information

Shifts will include working every other weekend or as required based on staffing needs. Dress code is professional scrubs with no specific color requirement.
