Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will share a commitment to providing quality patient care and will possess the necessary skills and certifications as outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a diverse range of patients, including those with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Respiratory Distress, Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A-fib RVR), and Diabetes Mellitus (DM).
• Administer blood products and utilize Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) therapy as needed.
• Monitor and assist post-cardiac catheterization patients, specifically those who have undergone femoral approaches.
• Manage various medical drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitroglycerin, and heparin.
• Care for surgical patients, including those in vascular, abdominal, and gastrointestinal specialties.
• Perform procedures like chest tube management, wound vacuum therapy, dressing changes, and monitoring of arterial sheaths. Experience with arterial lines and Impella/IABP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 travel assignment completed.
• Must possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with both ICU and telemetry patients is required.

Work Environment

This role will require floating between ICU level and lower units throughout the facility. The nurse will work in a community hospital setting with 226 total beds, including 11 dedicated ICU beds.

Schedule

• Shift Times: 1900-0730 or 0700-1930
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required

Professional scrub colors of any preference are acceptable. The hospital utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records.
