General Information

This position is within a Tele/PCU Cardiac Unit that offers:

• 29 private rooms
• 18 current staff members, including RT, RN, CN, Throughput Manager, Case Manager, Rehab, and Director/Manager
• Staffing Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
• Type of equipment: Telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Skill Set Requirements

Most recruited candidates should possess:

• ACLS and BLS certification
• Telemetry experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• NIH Stroke Prepared certification
• PALS, ICU, Tele, and PCU experience

Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed on the unit include:

• Blood transfusions
• IV starts
• Midline and central line removals
• Care for high fall risk patient populations
• Respiratory and cardiac assessments
