• Unit Type: Telemetry/PCU Cardiac Unit
• Number of Beds: 29 private rooms
• Number of Staff: 18 current staff members
• Staff Composition: RT, RN, CN, Throughput manager, Case Manager, Rehab, Director/Manager, Ancillary
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5

General Information

Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, continuous pulse oxygen monitoring

Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Skills:

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Telemetry experience

Preferred Skills:

• NIH Stroke Preparedness
• PALS certification
• Experience in ICU, Tele, or PCU settings

Typical Procedures Performed

• Blood transfusions
• IV starts
• Midline and central line removals
• Assessments for high fall risk patient populations
• Respiratory and cardiac assessments
