Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (PCU RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), specifically within a fast-paced Inpatient Observation Unit that caters to patients with varying acuity levels. The RN may be required to float to other areas within their competency as needed.

Unit Information

This 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit is located near the Emergency Department and deals with medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and accepts both lower to higher acuity patients and mid holds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a dynamic environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in acuity as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all nursing protocols and policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar specialty within an acute care setting.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
