Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (PCU RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), particularly for the Inpatient Observation Unit. This is a fast-paced environment where you will encounter varying patient acuity. You may also be required to float to other areas based on the needs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit, managing medical and trauma overflow beds.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions and acuity levels.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in educational initiatives and maintain professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar specialty within an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
