Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit
• Number of Beds: 44 Beds
• Number of Staff: 95
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched

Staff Structure

• Day Shift: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night Shift: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC

Required Skills

• Must Have:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Neuro and Trauma Care experience
• Preferred: Additional experience in Neuro and Trauma Care.

Typical Procedures

The Registered Nurse will be involved in various procedures including:

• Neuro and spinal checks
• C-Collar placement, TLSO braces
• Chest tube insertion, PCA pump management, IV infusions
• Lumber drain management
• Feeding tube placement
• Blood transfusions

Qualification Requirements

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Floating Areas: Stepdown units, Med-surg units

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Work Schedule

This position requires working every other weekend.
