Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in the Oncology and Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Nurses will be required to pass an open book skills exam during orientation, achieve Chemotherapy certification, and adhere to a strict fingernail policy. They will not be permitted to have a primary or secondary employment relationship with any CommonSpirit facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for oncology and trauma patients in a mixed unit setting.
• Titrate IV drips such as insulin and occasionally cardizem.
• Participate in unit-specific patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as required.

Requirements:

• Active RN license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in oncology or PCU; charge experience required.
• Driver’s license required for compliance with a 50-mile radius rule.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred.
