Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the recovery room, where you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients post-operation. The ideal candidate will have both Phase I and Phase II experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring a safe and comfortable recovery environment.
• Provide high-quality patient care in a multi-specialty surgery center.
• Administer medications and manage patient pain effectively.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal recovery.

Schedule and Availability

Desired availability includes day shifts from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 working hours per week. Weekend and holiday shifts are not required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Illinois RN license.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications are required; PALS certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU Phase I and II.

Additional Information

This position involves caring for patients across various surgical specialties, including cataract, gastrointestinal, pain management, sports medicine, hand, and podiatric surgeries. Patients will range in age from infants to seniors.

Orientation

A brief orientation of one hour will be provided, followed by 30 minutes of non-billable orientation.

Documentation Requirements

All credentials must be submitted by the Thursday prior to the start date.

Payroll Schedule

Payroll is processed biweekly.
