Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Unit: Pavilion Orthopedic/Neuro

Location: Denver, CO

Number of Beds: 36

Staffing: 27 total staff, including day and night shifts

Patient Ratios: RN to patient ratio of 5:1, with 8-12 patients per tech.

Equipment: Immobilizers, braces, cold treatment systems

EMR System: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the orthopedic unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist with pre/post-operative care for orthopedic and spine surgeries.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 1 year of current Orthopedic or Medical/Surgical RN experience in a hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

• Experience in orthopedic and spine procedures
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Typical Procedures

• Total Joint replacements (Knee, Hip, Shoulder)
• Spine Surgery
