Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position involves working on a rotating shift schedule, including start times at 6:30 AM or 8:30 AM for four 10-hour shifts. Candidates should be prepared for on-call duties one night per week and one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, scrubbing and circulating as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in totals, orthopedics, gynecology, and general surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Certification of completion from an approved didactic RNFA course.
• Minimum of three years of scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility.
• Annual surgeon review completed.
• Proficient in Epic electronic health record system.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.

Licenses/Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per facility policy.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor per facility policy.
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor per facility policy (preferred).
• Current Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

This position is available at multiple locations within the region, specifically in City, State.
